This is pretty interesting and I am sure people will have their various comments on this report card. But it is important to realize, that this report was endorsed by more than 40 economists. Many of whom are well-know academics in their fields and who examine policy issues for a living. As an academic, myself, I find this to be a credible source. In the end, it is up to you to decide what is important to you. The full report can be found at http://www.epgwi.org.
I am a little bit bother by you posting this blog today. This report is posted by the EPGWI and they support Barack Obama. So of course they are in favor of him and giving him a better score. This is the same group that went after Sarah Palin. So yes they are bais. The are saying this is vital to women? How is abortion "vital to women?" Barack Obama supports abortion, he also support prop 4. How can he support that? What happen if his daughter were to be pregnant? She goes to the abortion clinic and has the abortion. Without Obama or his wife knowing, his little daughter is going have that abortion? Parents need to know if their minor is going to the clinic to "kill" their unborn child.
ReplyDeleteFurthermore, since when did economist become specialist in such things? Isn't the specialy of economist supposed to be the economy?
Unless you're in favor of the gov't(meaning all Americans, by force) paying for everyone woman to have free day care for their children, then you get a failing grade for caring about women? Free Day Care means us people, us women...having to pay more taxes to pay for this "Free" Day care in gov't offices and business owners to fork out money to pay for day care in private companies. There goes potential raises for other employees. What about small business owners, owners who barely profit $20K a year. Do have to spend their profit to pay for free health care???
So yes, I find this article and this blog a little annoying. Especially when it is only bias to one party
